Emotion Machine at The Showroom

The exhibition of Sebastian Buerkner's innovative new animation works has just opened at The Showroom.

Blur Belt, is a large-scale projection that refers to the language of film; where filmic associations are used alongside an evocative soundtrack to trigger particular emotional states in the viewer.

Intimate Customs is a six screen monitor-based installation that combines abstraction and imagery to create associations, which united with an ambiguous soundtrack, disrupts the viewer’s ability to process the images and works on the viewer’s subconscious.

Sebastian will be giving an Artist’s Talk at The Showroom on Saturday 21 June, 4pm and will be showing a selection of his previous work. (This is a free event).
