Magnetic Movie in the US

Congratulations to Semiconductor, whose AnimateTV film Magnetic Movie, has been acquired by the Hirshorn Museum, Washington DC, for its permanent collection.

You can catch Magnetic Movie, which the Hirshorn calls an 'eye-dazzling "documentary"', in a solo exhibition of Semiconductor's work. The exhibition takes place in the Hirshorn's Black Box space for new media from 25 August to the 14 December.

Thanks to the popularity of Magnetic Movie, animateprojects.org nearly blew a fuse in June as we got more than 45,000 hits in 24 hours. We’ve now sorted out the website and the film is back up. Incredibly, Magnetic Movie has been viewed by more than 750,000, via animateprojects.org, Vimeo and other sites.
