Channel 4, 20 November, midnight
Tate Modern, 3 December, 6.30pm

This year’s AnimateTV programme presents new works by four outstanding British filmmakers that explore the world through animation, using a variety of techniques to create alternate realities. The featured artists are Petra Freeman, Cordelia Swann, Thomas Hicks and Sarah Wood.

AnimateTV 2009 will be broadcast at midnight on Friday 20 November on Channel 4 and will then be available on 4oD for 30 days after.

The films will then be screened as part of an Animate Projects programme at Tate Modern on Thursday 3 December, alongside our Coastcards commissions and Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s A Letter to Uncle Boonmee. The AnimateTV films will then go up on animateprojects.org in late December.

Competition: The winner of the pair of tickets for the Tate Modern screening is Josh W, who correctly answered that Petra Freeman was the AnimateTV artist who created The Mill in 1992.
