About
Animate Projects is the only arts charity in the UK dedicated to championing experimental animation.
We have an international reputation for the artistic quality of the work we support, and the Animate Collection, is renowned as the premier online resource of experimental animation. We offer cutting edge animators the space to take creative risk, to explore new forms, tools and processes so they can extend and redefine what animation is, and create radical new work.
Our commissions include: Digitalis Commissions by Adam Butcher, James Lowne, Lizzie Hughes and Matilda Tristram; did I? by Hiraki Sawa; ...in a rose columned forest by Edwina Ashton; and Primitive by Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
Recent exhibitions: Digitalis Commissions; Ontologically Anxious Organism Ep 1 & 2 by Let Me Feel Your Finger First; Drawn to Life curated by Stoffel Debuysere; and Art of Gaming curated with GameCity Festival.
Animate Projects' 2011 programme is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
